Grand Anse Beach

This is arguably one of our favorite beaches, at least that we've been to thus far. This beach is literally across the street from the main grocery store. All beaches here are free to the public and most are pretty easy to get to. The water here is crystal clear, but marine life sightings are hit and miss.

Reed and I have made many snorkeling trips out here and have seen a lot of cool marine life. This time we saw a puffer fish!

This is the only beach so far that we've actually seen other human beings. There are so many beaches around that it's easy to have your own.

Reed and Mark are getting ready for the plunge into the super nice, warm water.

Out near the other shore, there is an underwater sculpture park. They sink large cement sculptures of people and animals that you can snorkel or scuba-dive around.

There are always sailboats visible from the beach. Grenada has tons of rich foreigners that come here to sail.

La Sagesse Beach (Pronounced La Sa jess)

Living on an island, we have the opportunity of going to the beach all the time. Grenada is not that big, but there are dozens of beaches to choose from. This particular beach is more secluded and can only be reached by driving or taking a taxi through the windy roads on the mountains. It is definitely worth it though.

The water here is a crystal clear blue, which is beautiful. There aren't any coral reefs at this beach however, so not much to see in the water.

Our group of ladies and the little kiddos were the only people on the beach. It was such a nice way to spend the morning.

Pool Days!!

This my friends, is the University Club. This club is owned by SGU, and the school has graciously given the Significant Others Organization use of the facilities every Monday and Thursday. This includes, and is very limited to, use of the pool! Swimming in the ocean is very fun, but it is nice to only worry about tasting chlorine and not choking on salt water.

The pool looks out onto Lance Aux Epines beach and has a gorgeous view of the area. I bet you all want to come visit us now, right? The perks keep getting better!

There are typically quite a few ladies and their kids that come out twice a week. On a few occasions, even some of the guys have made it. Overall, not a bad way to spend a couple days each week.
